The story takes place in New Orleans on the eve of Mardi Gras. The Candy Man returns when Annie Turant calls his name five times in a mirror to show his class that he doesn’t exist. Soon after, he appears to Annie and reveals that they share a special connection.

Unlike the first movie, Candy Man 2 reveals more about how it came to be what it is. If you are reading this review, I assume that you have seen the previous movie and therefore know a little about the history of Candyman. If not, we recommend that you skip this paragraph and move on to the next one. It is revealed that he had a name: Daniel Robitaille. A wealthy plantation owner hires him to paint a picture of his beautiful daughter. The daughter appears pregnant and an angry mob chases Daniel until they catch him and cut off his drawing hand. Then, they drown his body in honey and watch him die when angry bees sting him. That’s what we know about the first movie. But we did discover something else in the sequel and you will find that there is more.

As with many horror movies, the names of characters from past movies are copied into the history of new movies. There are no exceptions here. There’s Annie, the main character. Its name may come from the classic Hallowe’en. But that’s not all that seemed to give him away. Her husband in Candy Man 2 his name is Paul. As you may know, Annie’s character in Hallowe’en she has a boyfriend named Paul. Coincidence? I leave that for you to decide.

Wrap, Candy Man 2 it’s a worthy sequel and answers a lot of questions you might have after watching the first movie. I highly recommend it!
