Disposing of a bee hive safely

We have all seen movies in which children throw stones at the beehive. Often, it’s the poor kid trying to make everyone stop who gets hurt. This may have happened even in your childhood, or you have witnessed it in his children’s. In fact, wasps, bees, bumblebees, and hornets can be very dangerous. If you’re not allergic, too many bites can still be deadly. If you’re allergic, all you need is one bite. Not to mention, no one has been stung on your to-do list. Being stung is painful even if an allergy is not the concern.

These insects have their place in this world and who are we to say no? The only exception is when your home is in your living room or your children’s play area. Too many times it will find a nest in the eaves of your house, in the tree your child climbs on, or even in your playhouse. What about dad? Poor dad is outside stacking firewood and he gets stung. Who knew they were in the woodpile? Getting stung can really ruin anyone’s day. So how do you safely remove a bee hive?

This is an area where an expert is recommended. Believe it or not, these little creatures can build pretty big houses for themselves. If you’re talking about a tiny little nest in the playhouse, maybe you can spray with wasp and hornet spray and then tear down the hive. However, if you’re talking about a beehive that’s in the eaves of your house, it could be a lot bigger than you think. These bugs can be deadly and for the sake of protecting yourself and your children, it would be better to let the experts make sure that the removal is complete and done safely.

Many times people want to eliminate bugs without killing them. While this may be preferable, it is not always possible. In some cases, an established nest can start in the eaves of your house and continue up the walls. In some cases, the weight of the honey can collapse the roofs. A beekeeper can help, but in this circumstance it may be best to call pest control. They will be able to administer a chemical to the bugs before they get angry. If you call early on an infestation, you may be able to minimize the damage.

While we like to observe nature in nature, no one wants it in their house or on their patio. If you discover that you have a bee hive, contact a professional to assess the situation. Protect your family and get tips on how to prevent this from happening again.
