Aerodrome data. The airport is capable of handling a Gulfstream V business jet. Takeoff distance is 5,150 feet and landing distance is 2,770 feet, the common style used by top corporate executives, VIPs, rich and famous.
Rescue and Fire Services. The practices of the rescue and firefighting services at the airport conform to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards and requirements for aerodrome rescue and firefighting services. This includes the minimum number of fire and rescue vehicles, water and foam capacities, and minimal dry chemical. Rescue and fire services personnel and vehicles must reach the end of each runway within a two-minute response time, and any part of the movement area must be reached within a three-minute response time. .

Areas to avoid. The outskirts and surroundings are classified as dangerous. Stay under the radar and stay within the main tourist district of the capital of Abuja. Avoid Abuja’s rocks and hills after dark due to criminal activity in the area. Another attraction to avoid after dark in the city is Minister’s Hill, located on the outskirts of the city due to frequent armed robberies and violent muggings.
State of terrorism. There is credible information of a great deal of activity indicative of internal terrorist operations and/or Muslim fundamentalists within the geographic location. Visiting senior corporate executives, VIPs, rich and famous are encouraged to raise awareness of suspicious people, vehicles and activity at lower threat levels.
List of Active Terrorist Groups. Iduwini Youth, Hisba, Odua Popular Congress, Movement for Democracy and Development (MDD) and Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND).
