How do you analyze social networks?

How do you know if your social media marketing efforts are working? These seven ways to analyze your social media marketing efforts will help you understand what’s working, what’s not, and what needs to change.

1. Commitment

Are your followers responding to what you share on social media with their own comments? How many comments do you receive on average for each post? Which post has the most comments? What if you go off topic? What happens when you stay on topic? These questions can be answered with the analytics on your social media platform’s dashboard.

2.I like

When you post something, what is the response? Do people like your post, love it or dislike it? Does it make them happy or angry? Seeing the likes on each comment and how they’re growing for your page overall is a good way to tell if you’re connecting with the right people.

3. Actions

What percentage of your posts are shared? Do you ask people to share? When posts are shared at a high rate, it’s a good indicator that you’re connecting with your audience. When no one shares a post, it’s because it’s not as relevant or thought about it, so be sure to ask people to share it.

4. Growth

It’s easy to tell if you’re growing or not by the number of likes you get on your page. If you can dig into analytics to find out where new people are coming from, that will make your efforts much more effective, as you can iterate on what works and drop what doesn’t.

5. Scope

Often, especially when you promote a post, your reach (ie how many people see the post) is an important indicator of the effectiveness of your post. For example, if you reach 1,000 people but no one responds, likes, or comments, the content may not be the right content for your audience.

6.Clicks

The number of people who click on your landing page compared to the number of people who view it is also a great indicator of whether you’re already hitting the mark with your audience. If you’re getting a lot of clicks and no conversions, the landing page may not be quite right compared to the information that’s getting them to click.

7. Notices

Who talks about you, what does he say and where does he say it? Social media is a great way to check the barometer regarding the health of your business and the opinions others have about your business. You can set up a Google Alert to find out if someone says something about your niche, industry, or even your name.

Each social media platform has its own way of showing you their analytics, but each has good analytics that can display most of what’s listed here without you having to buy anything special. That is one of the many things that makes social media marketing so effective.
