I love my girlfriend but she’s ruining me

Before my recent girlfriend I had been single for a while. All other areas of my life were going great, my personal business was starting to take off, and I was happy with my direction and income level. However, even though everything else was so good, I felt like I was still missing something; namely, the love and company of a beautiful woman.

Now I have a girlfriend, someone I can talk to, share my life with, and cuddle up to on a cold night. And even though I found this woman that I truly believe she could be my soul mate, other areas of my life seem to suffer for it. Spending more time on my relationship has meant I don’t have as much time to work on my personal business, and in a field that requires constant attention, this has not been good for business growth. My monthly expenses have also been higher, now I’m buying food for two since she comes over to my house most of the time, and going out to eat and to the movies really add up. It’s not like she’s paying for both of us, in fact she’s paying for me part of the time. It’s just that where before I stayed inside and worked on my computer, now I go outside and pay for my time off.

I guess when you’re in a relationship it’s all about management. Like I said, I feel like this girl is my soul mate and I’m so glad she came into my life. But I had to re-evaluate how much time and money I spent when I was with her, and doing so means my life is now more balanced. I have the love of a beautiful woman, and my business is getting back on track because I put in more time and effort.
