The cost of a worthless degree from California State University just got more expensive

Inflation has been almost non-existent during the Obama years, but you wouldn’t know that by looking at college tuition rising statewide, especially in California. In high school students are told that college is required to live a fruitful life and live in the elusive middle class, and are told to go into debt to earn that degree (more like financial slavery) with no collateral. Most college professors and administrators are in the top 2%, not the top 1%, but well ahead of where their students should expect to be. Let’s talk, because the academic bubble is still building and is about to burst: things have gotten out of hand.

There was a rather concerning segment on ABC News Affiliate in Los Angeles (Eyewitness News 7) recently titled: “CSU Trustees Vote to Raise Tuition by 5% Amid Protest From Students” on March 22, 2017.

First, I would like to point out that education has not improved in the California State University System, by all measures and accounts, it has gotten worse. Students with degrees are less valued in the market as employers realize that their education is not that great and that those degrees do not predict that students will be productive employees they have no idea what they are doing.

Most professors, especially tenured professors, don’t teach much in the classroom, spending a lot of time on sabbaticals and now have graduate students lecturing. Rising university costs have to do with legacy (pension) costs and the rise of Cadillac-style health care programs for staff and faculty. Although their pension fund isn’t as bad as the seriously underfunded UC System, it’s not breaking any records either – this Trump Bump in the stock market recently has saved their butts (temporarily) if you will. know the certain skinny in that.

It’s time to face the facts: the CSU (California State University) system is broken, the academy is broken, shut down the damn colleges that grant degrees in Gender Studies, Sustainability, Ethnic Equality, LBGT Studies: those kids aren’t going to have paid work forever. of those student loans – academia is drugged by any rationally observable standard – worthless – totally worthless surviving on Federal Research Grants and Taxpayers and tuition extortion, grants and socialist agendas. Some in our online think tank, to put it bluntly, let’s say; “Fuck all that, it’s just BS now,” and I think these think tank members are absolutely right.

Why the 5% increase in tuition when enrollment is at its peak? Why the tuition increase without increased benefits? The titles are not worth more than last year, in fact they are worth less now. The California State University System is out of control just like the University of California System, and academia across the country has student loan debt that is hovering around $1.4 trillion, 45% of it. those loans have never made a single payment or are 90 days past due. The academic industrial complex is a giant bubble waiting to burst, and what is the CSU system doing? Raise tuition? Oh well, that’s going to help a lot, a lot… NO!
