Why shouldn’t you skip the warm-up and stretching in the Insanity workout?

In this post I am going to describe two essential exercises in any Insanity training, in which you should not underestimate their importance for your own safety first, and to be able to perform the training in the most efficient way, they are the warm-up and the cool-down by stretching.

Heating:

Let’s put it this way, I’m a 20-year-old male, and while exercising in the warm-up I checked my heart rate and it was 165 bpm (beats per minute), which is, according to medical data, about 85% of my heart rate . total maximum heart rate, and believe it or not, I was still in the warm-up phase, the real exercises hadn’t started yet. During the actual workouts themselves, I took a lot of breaks in between, but that’s completely normal for anyone doing the exercise for the first time, as the instructor (Shaun T) says.

The next bullets mention the plyometric cardio circuit warm-up exercises, you do these exercises 3 times, no brakes in between, and make sure you start slow, then each time you complete this interval you push yourself harder, until you get to the 3rd. interval in which you exert yourself to the maximum.

  • jog
  • jumping jacks
  • Heisman’s
  • 123
  • butt kicks
  • high knees
  • mummy kicks

After you’ve completed these 3 intervals, you should be sweating profusely, and that’s the whole point of the warmup, it’s to prepare your muscles and lean them in for the next crazy exercises, in order to prevent injury. You can now take a sip of water for 30 seconds, but remember not to stop moving.

Cooldown stretch:

The second part of this short post is the cool down stretch, many people skip this part of the workout or don’t do it well, but I think it’s a very essential exercise after the intense exercises you do in the Insanity workout. It is medically recommended that if you are doing any type of intense exercise for a long period of time, it is not good that after finishing you stop immediately.

Many people think that stretching is only important before exercising, but stretching should be done before and after training. Stretching is important to avoid muscle cramps, because after exercise, the muscles are very hot and cannot immediately return to their normal temperature, it takes time, and in this time you should do some kind of light exercise, and not only because stretching is an easy part of training, it should be skipped.
