3 tips for new tennis club members

Well first let me tell you …

Happy New Year!

At least he’s in Kansai today!

Yesterday I was helping a club in Nara do this and wanted to share it with other club owners today in this post.

Listen, because …

“These are 3 things that every tennis club owner should be doing and they are not new, but that’s not the point here, the point is are you doing them or not?”

1). Testimonials

The moment your member has shown you that they like your service and your club, that’s the moment they need to write a testimonial for you.

Print it with their words too, not yours.

That could mean grammar mistakes!

It should sound like they wrote it, so never edit them.

2). Repeat negotiations.

Keep looking for more ways to sell to members of your presence.

Now this could be by getting them to sign up for private lessons, more group lessons, or other events at the club.

Create cool topics for the week and promote them through direct mail, emails, or just give them a call to spend more time at your club. (the more time they spend there, the more money their club makes).

Get creative and stay creative, the opportunities to get back into business are unreal when you start to deepen the relationship you have with current members.

3). References.

As we talked before.

You have to earn them and you must be relentless in asking for them after you have obtained them.

Not aggressively.

But more in a strategic and tactical way!

The best way is to have a “Member Appreciation Event”.

Host an event for your tennis members and ask them to bring all of their friends and family.

Prepare good food and have free clinics in the morning and afternoon shifts, with lots of freebies and offers.

“Then make sure your staff gets the personal information of all the non-members who came.”

Follow up with all of them within 2 days of the event and thank them for coming in and make another free offer of some kind for them.

As a matter of fact.

These events can really triple your earnings in months if done right!

Okay, please copy and print this post and post it so you remember to do it sometime next year.

I’ll be talking to the tennis club owners soon!
