How to fix Firefox memory leak issue with Firemin

“fixed memory leak” – that’s what we often hear from Firefox developers. But from my experience, it’s always been the same. If you use Firefox for a while (hours or days without closing it), and if you open your task manager you’ll be surprised to see how much memory the Firefox process consumes.

I’ve tried installing the older version hoping that the older ones won’t consume as much memory. I tried firefox version 4, version 5, version 6 and 7. But unfortunately, no matter which version of firefox you use, the memory leak issue is still there.

I am a web designer by profession and Firefox is my preferred browser. Honestly the reason I am still using it now despite the memory leak issue is because of the very useful and powerful plugins eg Firebug, MeasureIt, ySlow, PageSpeed, web developer.

Some of the older Firefox addons are also available in Google Chrome, but Firefox addons are still much more powerful than Chrome addons.

Due to Firefox’s memory management issue, and because I can’t work well having a “does not answer” message almost all the time, I decided to find a solution on how to fix firefox memory leak problem. Luckily I have found the solution to fix Firefox memory problem.
